How to Solve Problems in the PPR Pipe Production

The following will share you some problems often encountered in the extrusion process of PPR pipe and give you some corresponding solutions.


1. Is there coke mark on the pipe surface?

A: The possible reason is that the temperature of the fuselage or the handpiece is too high; The machine head and filter are not cleaned; There are impurities in the granular material; Poor thermal stability of raw materials; The control temperature instrument fails.


2. Is there a black stripe on the pipe surface?

A: The possible cause is that the head temperature is too high and the filter is not cleaned thoroughly.


3. The surface of the pipe is dull?

A: The die temperature may be too low or too high.


4. Is there any wrinkle on the surface of the pipe?

A: The temperature around the die may be uneven; The cooling water is too hot; The traction is too slow.


5. The inner wall of the pipe is rough?

Answer: It may be that the mandrel temperature is too low; The fuselage temperature is too low; The screw temperature is too high.


6. Is there a crack on the inner wall of the pipe?

A: There may be impurities in the material; The mandrel temperature is too low; Low fuselage temperature; The traction speed is too fast.


7. Is the inner wall of the pipe uneven?

A: The screw temperature may be too high; Screw speed is too fast.


8. Is there any bubble on the inner wall of the pipe?

A: It may be affected with damp.


9. Uneven pipe wall thickness?

A: The mouth mold and core mold may not be aligned; The head temperature is uneven; Unstable traction; The compressed air is unstable.


10. Pipe bending?

A: The pipe wall thickness may be uneven; The temperature around the machine head is uneven; Head cooling groove and traction cutting center are not aligned; The holes at both ends of the cooling groove are not concentric.


11. Is the product brittle?

A: The fuselage may not have enough plasticization; Screw speed is too fast; The head temperature is too low; The resin viscosity is too high.


12. Large longitudinal or transverse shrinkage of pipes?

A: The radial difference between the sizing sleeve and the inner diameter of the die may be large (transverse); High traction speed (longitudinal).


13. Sudden slow discharging?

A: The temperature of the screw feeding section may be high; Water ingress into the fuselage; The melt pressure of the machine head is low.
