Process Characteristics of PVC Pipe Products

Today, we’d like to introduce you some process characteristics of PVC pipe products as follows:

PVC plastic is a multi-component plastic. Different additives can be added according to different uses. Due to different components, PVC products show different physical and mechanical properties, and the proportion of various additives added to PVC plastic pipes is also different for different purposes; PVC pipe extrusion process generally consists of the following three processes:

1: Raw material selection and formula:

Generally, SG5 resin with low degree of polymerization is selected for PVC pipes; In addition, select stabilizer, lubricant and filler (calcium carbonate or barium is generally added) according to the performance requirements of pipes, and pay attention to the addition fraction of filler. Too much filler will affect the physical and chemical properties of pipe products.

2: Process flow:

PVC resin suitable for pipe products is selected, and stabilizer, lubricant, filler and pigment are added. According to the product formula requirements, the above raw materials are added to the mixing equipment for treatment according to a certain sequence time and mixing time. After meeting the process requirements, the mixed raw materials are sent to the extrusion equipment, and then the production is carried out according to the process requirements.

3: Production process:

raw materials - additives mixing - mixing - mixing feeding - extrusion plasticization - die forming - sizing sleeve - vacuum setting and cooling tank - (printed label) - traction - cutting - (online flaring) - storage platform - finished product inspection and packaging - warehousing.
