Structural characteristics and application scope of twin screw extruder

The screw and barrel of the extruder are designed based on the building block principle. Its thread shape, barrel structure, length diameter ratio, number of feeding and exhaust positions, screen change and granulation mode, electric instrument control mode, etc. can be optimized and adjusted according to the material system and process requirements, and the unified consideration of multi-function, multi-purpose and specific specificity is implemented. Daily maintenance of twin-screw extruder:

1. After using the twin-screw extruder for a period of time, check the tightness of all screws.

2. In case of power interruption in production, the main drive and heating stop. When the power supply is restored, each section of the barrel must be reheated to the specified temperature and kept warm for a period of time before starting the extruder.

3. After 1500 hours the new extruder is used, there will be impurities in the reduction gearbox. Therefore, clean the gear and replace the lubricating oil of the reduction gearbox.

4. If the steering fullness of the instrument and pointer is found, check whether the contact of the equilateral line of the thermocouple is good.

5. Sundries are not allowed in the materials, and hard objects such as metal, sand and gravel are strictly prohibited from entering the hopper and extruder.

6. When opening the material barrel cover or air extraction cover, strictly prevent foreign matters from falling into the host.

7. There should be enough preheating and heating time, and the manual turning should be light before driving. Generally, it shall be kept constant for ~ 1 hour after reaching the process set temperature.

8. The screw can only be started at low speed, and the idle time shall not exceed 3 minutes.
