Problems and solutions of extruder in the production process of insulation pipe equipment

Plastic extrusion has always been an important link in the production process of insulation pipe equipment, which is not only related to speed but also to quality, and the extruder plays a decisive role in this link. First, when the feeding machine does not suck the material, it is necessary to consider whether the purchased raw material particles are uneven and whether there are long or knobby materials, because this will cause the suction port to be unsmooth and cause the phenomenon of non-absorbing material; if there are impurities in the secondary material, the filter screen inside the feeder will also be blocked, resulting in non-suction and unstable discharge of the extruder.


Second, the cooling water of the die head is very important. Insufficient cooling water cannot give sufficient thrust to the feeding section, which is prone to the phenomenon of "bridging" in the industry, resulting in unstable feeding and failure of extrusion to form a complete pipe (Note: bridging refers to the aggregation of granular materials above the discharge port). Solution: check whether the cooling water is smooth and the water pressure is large enough.


Third, the screw is damaged by hard objects. Once the materials are mixed with hard objects such as iron nails into the screw, the screw will generally be accompanied by a harsh sound, and the hard objects will cause the wear of the screw edges, which will affect the extrusion amount and shorten the service life of the screw. Solution: in this case, stop the machine immediately and remove the screw for cleaning.


Fourth, the heating temperature. In general, each heating zone of the screw is from low temperature to high temperature, and the temperature gradually increases (the temperature is determined by the raw materials). If the temperature in a certain area is too high, the raw material will rotate in the screw and lag, and will not move forward, resulting in unstable extrusion. Solution: check whether there is adhesion between the sensor and the corresponding contactor, and deal with it in time.
