How to control the temperature of plastic extruder?

In the production process of plastic products, plastic extruder plays the role of extrusion molding, but plastic products need a temperature suitable for plastic production. Therefore, when we produce plastic products, we must first heat up the screw barrel of the plastic extruder.

 

Common plastic extruders are divided into several groups of temperature control sections according to the length of the screw. Each temperature control section has a group of temperature control equipment to control the temperature of the screw. We usually use the heating ring to heat the plastic extruder. The temperature requirements of each temperature control unit are not exactly the same. When the temperature of the plastic extruder rises to the temperature we set, the heating system stops heating, and then we can start the equipment to fill the plastic raw materials into the feeding system of the plastic extruder.

 

During the operation of the plastic extruder, the plastic particles are heated and plasticized in the screw barrel, and with the rotation of the screw, pressure is generated between the screw thread and the raw material as well as the screw barrel, and constant friction occurs. This will cause the equipment to produce a self-produced temperature. The natural temperature dissipation of the equipment can not meet the consumption of self-produced temperature caused by the operation of the equipment. In this case, the temperature of the screw barrel and screw of the plastic extruder will continue to rise. If the temperature of the plastic extruder is too high, the quality of plastic raw materials will be affected.

 

Therefore, we should cool down the screw barrel of the plastic extruder during the operation of the equipment. When the temperature of the equipment reaches a certain value, the temperature control system will send a cooling command and start the cooling fan to cool the screw of the plastic extruder. When the temperature of the equipment drops to the low value set by us, the air cooling system will be shut down. In this way, the production temperature of the plastic extruder will be controlled within a certain range to ensure the normal extrusion production of plastic products.
