Extrusion process of plastic pipes

The extrusion process of plastic pipes is divided into three stages:

1.      Plasticization of raw materials, that is, through the heating and mixing of the extruder, the solid raw materials become uniform viscous fluid.

2.      Molding, that is, under the action of the extrusion parts of the extruder, the molten material passes through the molding head continuously at a certain pressure and speed, so as to obtain a certain section shape.

3.      Cooling and forming, that is, through sizing and cooling treatment, the molten material will fix the obtained shape and change into a solid state (plastic pipe).

The above three stages are realized by the main machine and auxiliary machines, or extrusion unit. Specifically, the main machine is an extruder, and the auxiliary machine consists of an extrusion head, a vacuum calibration device, a cooling device, a haul off machine, a cutting machine and a pipe tip table.
