Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic is a multi-component plastic. Different additives can be added according to different uses, and the products also show different physical properties. PVC pipe is divided into soft and hard. UPVC pipe is made by mixing PVC resin with stabilizer, lubricant and other additives, and extrusion after granulation. It can also be directly formed by powder.

UPVC pipe has good chemical corrosion resistance and insulation. It mainly transports various fluids and can also be used as wire sleeve, etc. This kind of pipe is easy to cut, weld, bond, heat and bend, so it is very convenient to install and use. Single screw extruder is used for pellets, and twin-screw extruder is best used for direct extrusion of powder. The processing temperature of powder is about 10 lower than that of corresponding pellets.

SG-5 or XS-4 resin with low polymerization degree shall be selected as raw material. Although the higher the degree of polymerization, the better its physical and mechanical properties and heat resistance, it will lead to poor resin fluidity and bring some difficulties to processing. Therefore, SG-5 resin with viscosity of (107 ~ 117) ml / G is generally suitable.

① Lead stabilizer is generally used for hard pipe. Because of its excellent thermal stability, tribasic lead sulfate is commonly used, but its lubricity is poor. It is usually used together with lead and barium soaps with good lubricity;

② Metal soaps are generally used as internal lubricants;

③ Low melting point wax for external lubricant;

④ Calcium carbonate and barium sulfate (barite powder) are mainly used as fillers. Because calcium carbonate improves the surface properties of the pipe, barium sulfate can improve the formability and make the pipe easy to set. The combination of the two can reduce the cost, but excessive dosage will affect the performance of the pipe. It is better to add no or less fillers to the pressure pipe and corrosion-resistant pipe.
