The process flow of HDPE pipe is basically the same as that of LDPE pipe, except that HDPE pipe is hard pipe, so it is fixed length sawing, while LDPE is semi-hard pipe, which can be coiled. Generally, it is coiled into a roll of 200-300m. Now take LDPE as an example to introduce its process flow:
Firstly, the raw material brand is determined, and then LDPE pellets are added from the hopper to the single screw extruder and heated to a molten state. The rotating thrust of the screw makes the molten material form a pipe after passing through the annular channel of the machine head. However, due to the high temperature, sizing measures must be taken to fix the shape of the plastic pipe. Generally, vacuum sizing method or internal pressure sizing method is used. Although the plastic pipe after passing through the sizing sleeve has been shaped, the plastic pipe may be deformed due to insufficient cooling, so it must continue to be cooled through the cooling device. The cooling device is composed of one or several cooling water tanks, each of which is about 6-8m long. The pipes cooled by the spray cooling tank or immersion cooling tank must be clamped forward by the traction device, and be coiled on the coiling device, cut after reaching a certain length, and inspect, weigh and package the finished pipes.
In the above extrusion pipe process, the equipment and devices in each link must be strictly synchronized, and the process conditions in each link must be strictly controlled in order to produce qualified pipes that meet the quality requirements.
